Let’s build a gig.

Two organizations keeping maritime traditions alive and well.

What a collaboration, and what an amazing adventure.

Graham has purchased most of the cedar planking material, and the fundraising is 85% complete. Our Apprentices will have a chance to get their hands on this build, Lowell’s will deliver the boat via water, and then this new Bantry Bay gig will carry teams of young adults on amazing adventures for many years to come.

What it’s all about.

Watch this video to see how Atlantic Challenge started, and why it makes so much sense for Lowell’s to collaborate with this highly successful non-profit that gets young adults on the water to learn sailing, rowing, seamanship, and so much more. Our missions are aligned, and now, they’re entwined.

Giving to the fund for this gig ensures the success of the build at Lowell’s. We’ve been contracted to construct the boat, which will hopefully start Summer 2025.

“Atlantic Challenge is a wonderful organization. I came up through tallships, which have a very similar sort of feel in terms of community. I think Lowell’s has that kind of community as well, and so ideally, this partnership would go beyond the build—I can see our students participating in Atlantic Challenge competitions. This is just the beginning.”
