Includes materials.(we will apply Member discount post registration & send notification we have done so) Learn to make this simple, elegant bench with just a couple of basic tools in two four-hour classes. You'll learn to read a plan, then you'll measure and mill the bench parts from stock lumber using a chop saw and a sliding compound mitre saw, and finally you'll master proper use of drills and drivers.

No prior woodworking experience is necessary. This cedar bench is suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and would look great on a deck, around a campfire, or in a garden.

Instructor: John Harvey is one of LBS’s professional boat builders. A long time woodworker, John is a graduate of International Yacht Restoration School's (IYRS) Wooden Boat Building and Restoration program in Newport, RI and has been with Lowell’s for just over four years. Students appreciate his approach to teaching, which starts with choosing woodworking projects like this one that yield satisfying results after a weekend of guided shop practice.
