Build Your Own Adirondack Chair

Build Your Own Adirondack Chair
WHEN: June 9–11 (Mon–Wed); 6–9 p.m. each day
COST: $165 LBS Member; $180 Nonmember, plus $235 materials fee for both Members and Nonmembers

A perfect chair for summertime relaxing! Learn to build this classic chair in three sessions with the opportunity to add your own artistic touches. The basic parts of the chair will be pre-cut; you’ll learn to cut the main supports, back slats, stretchers, brackets, etc. using a table saw, a band saw, and various hand tools. Some woodworking experience is required (you should know how to use a tablesaw and a bandsaw). You’ll leave the class with your chair assembled, ready to sand and finish at home.

Your Instructor: John Linsley attended the Landing School, and has worked as a boatbuilder at Preservation Shipyard, Windward Yacht Yard, and at FJ Dion’s Yacht Yard. He currently works restoring and building boats here at LBS.
