Merrimack Rowing Skiff

These skiffs are designed to be a pleasure to row and live with on the water. Available in 12 foot and 14 foot lengths, Lowell Merrimack Rowing Skiffs have been used by generations of fishermen, campers, Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts and rowing enthusiasts. They have proven extraordinarily seaworthy, safe, and sturdy - boats built twenty and thirty years ago are still in use.

The Merrimack Rowing Skiff is very comfortable and easily rowed. It is also handy with a small outboard motor.

Standard models are now made with cedar planking, oak stem and frames, and mahogany transom, thwarts and details. Fastenings are copper rivets and silicon bronze ring nails and screws. Bottoms are encapsulated in West System epoxy with fiberglass cloth on the outside. Standard finish is quality marine enamel on the hull and interior, and varnish on rails, transom and thwarts. One pair of bronze oarlocks is included. Bronze bow eye, drain plug, brass half-oval rub strips, floor boards, boat cover and trailer are also available.

Standard features and finish can be customized which may either increase or lower the end cost. Unfinished boats are available at a substantially discounted price. Since all Lowell boats are handmade from patterns, dimensions are approximate. We reserve the right to alter our specifications when appropriate without prior notice.
